Yearly Cost Comparison

A Faganel Builders Millennium III Energy Efficient Green home produces 20,000 less pounds of carbon dioxide annually than a conventionally built home.
An average car produces 12,000 pounds of carbon dioxide (Source: EPA) a year, so a Faganel home saves the environment the equivalent of almost 2 cars per year.

Model house – The same 3,200 sq. ft., full basement, 2-story house was used for each scenario above with only the individual components and building techniques changing from house to house.
Assumes that the house is operated in a reasonable fashion with routine maintenance and service performed on a regular basis.  Faganel homes results based on new construction and efficiencies may diminish slightly as home ages. Occupant living style will influence individual results.
